Turning Tous heritage into stories worth telling, and culture worth sharing.

A la Carta is a collectible editorial concept that expands Tous cultural universe through stories of craftsmanship, memory, and inheritance. Its first volume, El cerdo y el oficio, explores unexpected connections between Iberian gastronomy and jewelry making.

Giving Tous an editorial voice

Jewelry gains meaning through the people, rituals, and memories surrounding it. A la Carta creates a space for Tous to explore those connections, expressing its heritage and creative spirit through culture.

Conceived as a menu, the publication invites readers to discover stories across successive courses. This structure gives different voices and formats a shared rhythm, connecting the gastronomic theme with the reading experience.

Print extends the idea into a physical object worth keeping. Its format reflects the project’s themes of collecting and preservation, while the menu framework offers continuity for future volumes exploring urban rituals, the body, and materiality.

Making unexpected connections visible

Our creative process combined research, interviews, and experimentation across writing and imagery. We explored the parallels between gastronomy and jewelry making: respect for materials, patience, and knowledge passed between generations.

I was deeply involved in the interview process, helping uncover personal stories about objects, traditions, and their emotional significance. These conversations gave the publication a human perspective and informed its creative direction.

The art direction brought food, jewelry, and tools into conversation through photography, illustration, and playful juxtapositions. Contrasting textures and unexpected compositions made the connections between both crafts visible.

I also helped create photographic still lifes for one of the stories, exploring how objects and their arrangement could express its meaning. Imagery became an active part of the editorial narrative.

Storytelling that brings the vision to life

I created the presentation we delivered to Rosa Tous, developing its full narrative and imagery. My role was to connect the brand opportunity, editorial concept, and creative exploration into a story that communicated the project’s relevance and ambition.

I approached the presentation as a creative experience in its own right. Sequencing, visual rhythm, and imagery guided the audience from the initial idea into the publication’s world, building understanding and engagement along the way.

A strong creative idea needs an equally compelling story to help others understand its value and see its potential.

The result was a collective editorial concept presented to Tous leadership, with a proposal for future editions and circulation. My contribution connected interviews and photographic storytelling with the narrative that brought the project together—reinforcing my belief that how we communicate creative work is part of the work itself.
